|Gear||Circle Mage's robes, with some very distinct customization. Diggory is very creative, so he decided to trick out the so-called "chastity robes" of the Circle with some old bed sheets and some fur collected from a suspect source. He has a basic staff granted to him by the Circle after completing his Harrowing, and a ring marking him an official Circle Mage.|
|Behind the Mask|
Diggory is a handsome devil. He has a near permanent smirk and a very casual posture, slouching constantly. He has a long face with a square chin, and a long nose that hooks slightly at the tip. His eyes are thin and bright hazel, under a slight brow. His chestnut hair is cut short and choppily, and he has a slight goatee. His hygiene is pristine: Diggory always smells fantastic and is always clean and fresh.
He wears a single, recently-acquired earring in his left ear. It appears to have been fashioned out of someone else's Circle ring.
Diggory is a snarky, immature-- and some may even say insufferable-- mage. He has his occasional moments of bitterness, but otherwise manages to put on a devil-may-care front. Even moments when Diggory is feeling down are punctuated by even more snark.
His biggest flaws are his selfishness and cowardice: easily intimidated but feverishly ambitious, Diggory will get what Diggory wants-- he'll just need to find the path of least resistance first. He normally has a blatant disregard for the struggle of others, but seems to be very compassionate towards children. He is more likely to flee danger than face it, and if the darkspawn happen to be chasing him and someone else, he will "leave your sorry ass behind, should you trip."
Diggory was raised in a (very)minor noble family in Denerim's market district, where he lived a normal life until discovering his magic at the age of ten.
He set a cat on fire. Funny story, that.
Diggory was not thrilled at being taken to the Circle, and he spends his time driving the templars batty, sleeping around, drawing, sewing and attempting suicide.
During his Harrowing, he was assisted by a spirit of Compassion in facing his demon. Diggory knows that it was the spirit, and not his own power, that saved him from the demon's influence, and he keeps his time in the Fade short. However, Diggory has always had a strong sense for the Fade and its spirits are naturally drawn to him in his sleep. His dreams are more often than not waking nightmares, and he avoids sleeping for as long as possible. He hasn't told anyone about this predicament.
Several months before The Broken Circle, Diggory lost not one but two loves to templar interference. A spike in his sluttery followed, along with two suicide attempts (one of which he was able to cover up as a failed escape attempt when he tried to jump out of the tower window).
Diggory likes to think he's put the past behind him, and is trying to look forward to making the best out of what's been given to him.
